hi all,i have a problem and i hope one of you guys can point me in the right direction:) before i crack out the zippo and burn the bloody ting :twisted: lol,,,my nc30 seems to be cooking the battery in the bike and im at a loss why,and it struggles to rev freely aswell,,,iv cleaned the carbs about 3 times now and have changed the rectifer and battery and the problem still persists,,its fairly headwrecking now and i said i post up the problem before i waste any more money on it ,,,,,,,the bike is streetightfightered with no clocks fitted and has a under tray exhaust fitted just to add any and all help is appreicated

I would instantly say reg rec is frying the battery but you said you have replaced them, did you do them at the same time, if not perhaps one has buggered the other,

if not you might have a short somewhere?

Fully charge your battery and follow that through in the right order without skipping any steps to test your electrical system.

thanks for the info lads,the rectifer i got was a second hand 1 but is ment to have come of workin bike,i guess the seller could have been telling me fibs saying it was working,,il have to borrow a multimeter and check it properly and the gennie also using that guide,, and get a rr off a yahaha r1 or r6 on ebay,,,,

after replacing the alternator on my nc30 and i had no issues running the standard reg rec.i had replaced the reg rec previously with a heavy duty aftermarket one and it gave up the ghost twice before i went back to oe and it lasted for rest of the time i had the bike.

hehe i fixed it,it tuned out the rectifier wires from the loom had gotten pinched and were bare and touching off each other and causing all the poblems,,sorted out the wires with some electrical tape,a rectifier of a r6 and a new battery and all is working perfectly now:)
