First track day advice please
Now my NC30 is sorted i will be going on my first full day track day at caddy park this month (September) but as i have never done one before i needed some advice on what to do.
Firstly what pressure should i have in my front and rear tyers, their BT090.
Do you take your own fuel?
Any further hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.

drop 2-3 psi in both Tyres. If you can bring someone with car to carry tools, fuel, stands, gaffa tape, cable ties and tyre warmers if you can get some. A trailer or van is also a good idea should the worst happen. Other than that just enjoy yourself and get there in plenty of time.

also don't forget the basic stuff - license and zip-together leathers, give the bike a good check over - especially tyres, brakes, chain etc.
what group are you in? it's OK to get overtaken sometimes, relax and get into it and you will find a good balance of getting over taken vs over taking if you're in the right group. I found it helpful to tape over the speedo and remove the mirrors to get rid of the distractions.
oh and don't go full throttle over the mountain. I did the first time and nearly looped it :)

Forget trying to be fast when you first get there.
It will take quite a while to get to know the track, slowly build up your speed as you get more comfortable.
Enjoy yourself.

Don't forget to breathe... Hang off some as you don't want your pegs down.
You will be right. If you hustle a Mille on the roads then whipping a nicely working NC30 around Cadwell will be happy smiles all day long!
You'll use approx 4-5l of fuel in a 20 minute session so don't brim the tank..just make sure you got enough fuel.
Also, eat and drink little and often. Bananas, nuts, flapjacks etc. Get your oats in the morning - porridge, not poon.
If it rains then Cadwell is pretty grippy anyway so you can still get pretty fast.
Turn 1 is fast as feck..brilliant corner. The Gooseneck is superb and the corner before the Mountain too.
Hairpin after Hall bends is the only one that worries me as it nips up - just chill, be off the brakes and get the bike turned.
It will be great fun man...I'm nearly all done for TD/racing this year but I miss it already..lol

Re: First track day advice please
BT090's you should be running around 33psi front and rear. Remember that for the first lap, maybe two, your tyres will still be cold/warming up - same as on the road.
Remove your mirrors - you should NOT be looking behind you on a race track.
Take half a dozen bottles of water - make sure you stay hydrated.
Oh and take plenty of money for pies.

On pressures I run 30psi front and rear on trackdays/racing with BT090. tried 29 rear too..nice and grippy.
33 might be too hard IMO for a trackday

Re: First track day advice please
I run bt090's at 31psi on the track when the weather is warm, so 33psi sounds about right for your (ahem!) cooler tracks.
Edit: ^^ Looks like Mark's on the money!
