plates
Hi all i just orderd a six inch number plate off good old ebay.
Just like to know do we get much bother from the police about these?
Iam in London only got the bike on the road.
Got the licence last week and dont want to lose it

You will probably get hassle every single day as the London ANPR Cameras will be unable to read your numberplate. The police will basically presume you could be anyone from a milkman to a terrorist with a scud up his arse. Expect them to come down on you VERY Hard, VERY Fast. Basically mate, if you get a mile past an ANPR camera I will be suprised.

No need to worry about the licence, but expect a £30 fixed penalty if a cop fancies being strict about it!

lol that does seem a little harsh, like speedy said, you will just get a £30 fine, how about 7x5??? looks better and aint too small

Personally, I'd stick with standard size. They don't look that bad and why give the police a reason to stop if you don't really need to.

Iv got a 7x5 on my bike and it looks mint with the tailtidy I got from royster, had it on for 6 months riding past a cop stationtwice a day and never had a single question asked, its like tinted visors and load exhausts as long as its not excessive they dont care

400s are so small a standard plate looks stupid
go for a 7x5 and i doubt you will get any hassle

I have a 7x4, close to Japanese measurements, fits fine, dont have trouble with it. It's standard road font, although smaller.

just bought one on ebay custom 7 x 5 you can design it yourself and only £8.95 posted will let you know what the quality is like when the postie arrives
