Post by missinNZ »

ive managed to fit a 02' 600rr shock into the ass end with a 8mm int 10mm ext bushing on the lower and shimmed the top end. followed someone elses thread with regard to using a dremil on the linkage to give space for spring........but there aint enough space for the coolant.

yeah mate the coolant res, how it curves for the old susp, now being longer (330mm) the angle from link to top is (was til i pulled out) dif and hitting the res. taken out but need to a) relocate? b) find/custom a smaller one. bikes not going any where till chain drops a few links also. cant get a pic as at a mech now to get chain done.
just thought of the thread with the melting airbox ....if i warm/heat it maybe possible to push a larger cylinder in to curve and remould?

Just do the HRC mod then, small bottle with the small hose from the top of the rad into it. Then you can do away with great bid res near your shock.

Yes, there is plenty of them on ebay

I think you can use any hot water resistant bottle for this.

PS: BTW maybe somebody know why HRC fit this at front, because if you check HRC manual for NC29 they use standard shock and wasn't have any issue with standard coolant reservoir.

It's not a standard shock but it's the same size, and you don't need a massive sealed bottle on a race bike.
