start and warm up bike.. pull in clutch a few times to free up the plates.... put headlights on.... put in gear and pull away.
my ritual goes a little something like this:-
clamber into all my biking gear, get on bike, start bike, double check I have all my faculties about me before riding, set off.

if you think about it a bit more, you will realise you "do" more than that before you set off.

not just US bikes have hardwired lights...all RVF do also!
