A good Painter/Repairer in West London?

Post by mattjc »

Hi there,
I need to get my tank repaired, repainted, and re-decaled it's got a couple of dents and some rather nasty stone chips that I would like gone. i've been quoted 200 + vat from a company called Altamura based in Surrey (is this a good price). If anyone knows of any other places to go that are trusted let me know!

thanks in advance

Matt

I have a very good painter in basingstoke, and he will be alot less than £200, its could well be worth the travel down, he did mine very well and is a pannel beater aswell on classic cars so no's how to do the job right

I had a red/black tank done at Boyz Toyz in Rayliegh near Southend.

They removed a few dents close together, fitted decals that I supplied [Image works £6 pair]
and repainted it for around £160, and made a good job, removing and replacing the felt insulation beneath the tank, not overspraying around it.

The quote was to repair, repaint and add the decals to the tank only.

Might have to get his details from you Spike. I'm thinking about a Hannspree paintjob in the summer. Not quite made my mind up yet...

Smev, you are one brave man and a patient one at that, looks really good - I couldn't do it, not with my luck!
