Marisa and I will be getting to the tunnel in time for Breakfast, so we'll prob aim to be there shortly after 8. What sort of time is everyone else intending to get there?CRM wrote:I have booked a hotel in folkestone for 4 of us for tommorow night. we have all afternoon and evening to meander on down there from the northwest.
Graham, will give you a call tonight mate if your about.
Boris, unlucky mate, but the 400 i am sure will perform admirably and you will be happy in heart to take it.
Guys as mentioned before, fuel in france and germany is more expensive than here, so fill up before the train so we can chew the first 100 odd miles easily. I know its 4 hours on motorway, however we have all day and i sugest after the first hundred miles or so we hit the lanes and go a more direct route weather permitting.
CBR is ready to go - i found the key for it at last, and the battery is on an optimate. it will be fine, but my heart still tells me to sod it, and take the ducati.
Looking forward to catching up with old faces and meeting some new ones. Can't wait to get going now.
Paul - I'm happy to take the country route, agree it would be a good idea to munch through a few motorway miles first though, then we've plenty of time to play about with routes on the way. In the past I've just got there as quickly as possible, but as I'm restricting my laps this time I'm happy to get there whenever. It'll also break the trip up a bit, as I'll probably be heading back the short quick route to get to Calais.
