skim head and takeoff base gasket problem

ive skimmed 8 thou off a head and taken the base gasket out and now when i try and start the bike it just pops out the inlet and sometimes the exhaust. anyone had this prob before. if so how did you sort it. im using standard cams. or has anyone got an idea what it could be

mine did exactly that after i did pretty much exactly what you've done ..

i'd got the coils wired up backwards, swapped em over and it fired up straight away :lol:

tried that and it didnt work. do you time your cams in to the manual??

yep, marks facing outwards and level with the top of the head., i got them 1 tooth out once and it still ran .. ish ..
