The screen can be polished up to get the marks out. Use something like meguiars plastx and a polishing machine.. it works better than you think.

Just watched a few vids on the stuff, does it need reapplying after a while?

Can't answer that. I did my headlight & screen it did a great job on that (although bought a spare light just in case).

Looking good chum! Did you use a machine buff or just elbow grease?

New screen bolts arrived, much better quality
Image

New mounting rubber as the old one was knackerd
Image

All mounted, with a bit of black vinyl on the screen to cover the back of the clocks.
Image

Indicators work, main beam ok, dip on one of the bulbs fail, quick swap of the bulbs to check its not wiring. £20.43 for a new bulb it is then.

Got this lot to clean up now

Got an RVF exhaust can kindly donated by CMSMJ1, many thanks again.
Image

Cut the weld and started smacking the internals out, would not budge, cut another mm off as there was an edge stopping it.
Image

Finally got it all apart.
Image

And I only hit myself the once, but boy did it contact, not broken but def done something. I know this because there was no shouting but a 5 min silent reflection on what had just happened.
Lesson learnt: hit wiser not harder
Image

Next to figure out how to rework it with a removeable baffle and then test it.

LOL - that long silent moment when you are trying to work out just how much something hurt and if you actually need to do something about it :scare: . It normally involves a hand full of paper towels in my case and letting the initial shock/pain subside before I check just how much I am bleeding and if I actually need to call the Mrs or if a bit of masking tape will suffice

Bike is looking very tidy Tim...... as always

No - you never tell the Mrs - it just gives her ammo to shoot you with....
Unless you need her to drive you somewhere quickly.....
