I bought Fairing panel parts. Where exactly does it go?

Post by Bowches » Sat Apr 21, 2018 8:37 pm

Hi everyone.

I bought an Infill trim/fairing holder panel part (not sure what the exact name is). I'm not sure where it goes, I actually bought in January and returned it and then I bought it back again recently as I bought two 'Air guide' panel parts that go on the left and right hand side underneath the handlebars that attach onto the Fairing.

I have uploaded pictures to show you the parts that I am talking about. I just went to Staffordshire to pick them up. The guy said he was converting his CBR 400 NC29 into a track bike (which I thought was another lost NC29 to be honest).

So where does the infill trim go and also which way do the air guides go?

Thanks

Best way to describe it is look at cmnsl.com microfiche on the nc29 as its difficult to explain where it fits

AHH Very nice photo. ok thats how it goes. obviously I knew where it went but which way around.

Thanks dunkenb I will go and try it now.

you see my fairing was fla[[ing all over the place when I go 60mph and above. its held with zip tapes at the moment because the fairing screw would come loose.

The question from me is where does the first one pictured go? I have never seen that one.

Bowches, when you fit the long infill take care you dont knock the small plastic pip off the top. Its best to fit from the top locating this pip with the fairing piece while hooking the small top tabs under the infill. Now fit from the front near the indicator, hook over the top of the v panel and guide the rest inline with the bottom fairing. now add your top trim pins then screw the bottom three screws in. Make sure the metal clips are in line as well as they sometimes move. Also the long infill you show is for the right side its the easiest to fit. The left infill needs care to fit with the wiring being wrapped around it. It can be a pain and I have snapped one before in my rush to fit it.
