Iam planning doing some track days on my rrsp, it has a scitsu rev counter and total loss ignition but no temp gauge.
I have a set of old clocks, is it possible, just to use the temp gauge from this clocks, by running a wire from the temp sender ( is that the one with the male round connection behind cyclinder 4).
Or there are some temp gauges out there for example

There is minimal wiring on this bike and no connectors to join on to.
I don't want to over heat the engine first time out.
Thanks,
Kevin.

Re: temp gauge
Right up the top of this page you'll see the link for Document. In there under the FZR you'll find a wiring diagram which is going to be a help.
I think the temp sender is up by the thermostat on the right (clutch side) of the bike but I could be wrong ... I have been before :)
The standard gauge should be fine.
This is a track / race bike huh ? Race bikes use distilled water For coolant. Its winter and its a good idea to drop the water and refill with coolant (distilled water / antifreeze)

Re: temp gauge
Thaks evil for your advice,
Looks like i'll have supply the temp gauge with a live, earth and a wire from the temp sender if my wiring diagram reading skills are any good.
Cheers.

Re: temp gauge
Its always easily on paper but when the brain starts controling the hands, something strange happens.
Iam getting all my info ready before i start as i have a new clutch, oil, water, brake fluid etc to change and would like to get the whole job done in one go, rather than have to stop and ask for advice during the strip down.
Just another devation, has anyone the "U" shaped bracket that holds on the chain gaurd at the front of the swingarm, if no success with this post i will put ad in the wanted section.
Kevin.

Re: temp gauge
They're usually sold with the swingarm or thrown away if its a race bike (no chaingaurd) probably what happened to yours.
It might be easier to make one. Or try cmnl theyre site will give you the part number so you can look if ghs part was common to other bikes
