NC30 Front caliper (Paint advice - gold)

Post by IanP19 »

Hi Guys,

In the process of rebuilding the front brake calipers on the NC30 and decided I might as well paint them since they are off the bike.. Might even do the discs as well.

I've searched round the forum and I see a few of the project threads and stuff have all used different paint.

Just wondered what the general conciseness was on what to use?

I see a few are using VHT Caliper paint (Looks a nice shiny finish) also noticed some using OMP High temp (Looks dull like the original).

Any other brands I should look at? (Pics would be appreciated)

I did mine with hammerite smooth gold spray, its not a match for the original gold but i was happy with the results and it seems to be wearing well.
