Would they be safe to use on the road?

Is weight that main benefit you get from the RS250 axle?
Also, would it be a straight bolt in job or will certain parts need to be modified?

Sorry for the delay
Yes they would be safe for road use
yes its a weight saving, overall weight is reduced but a larger reason is the unsprung weight is reduced meaning suspension will perform better
the rear axle on the website above is for the conventional swingarm ts250, the price of it shows that when you look at the price for the front axle
also something that most people dont realise is that titanium is actually alot heavier than aluminium, its not far from being nearly twice the weight
the aluminium axle I am trying to get numbers on is the same as the one that was for sale on here not long ago by drunken munkey

Re: rs250 replica aluminum axles, group buy feeler
Essentially what James is looking to sell here folks is a one off run bespoke bit of kit, know-body else will have this other than Liam or tony and there's will cost you allot more than what James is looking to sell as the axles simply arent forsale ..James is selling these units at cost so he can actually have one or two made for himself, this is moto gp tech for a 90's road bike, if your racing this is a big weight saving, and most importantly it's where you want to save weight, unsprung weight and again rotating mass, I've got my name on the list and I'm honestly surprised he hasnt got limbs missing from people wanting these, people are so happy to spend money on lightweight wheels but maybe consider the running gear too.

I'll have to have a look at the regulations we have over here in Australia regarding what's allowed. I haven't heard of anyone else swapping axles, but that's not to say it's not allowed. I'll check into it, but would definitely be something I'd consider.
