There's probably not much difference.

I've experience the 70 profile hitting the fairing v-piece on an nc30, admittedly this was with stock (soft) fork springs.

You might be luckier than I, and it might not affect the 35 as much. 120/60 is the recommended size.

Ok - so I am plannign on getting one of my NC30s out of storage and riding it from the UK back down to the German /Austrian border for a seasons fun on the Alpine roads and if the weather is nice I am also plannig to use it on occasion for comuting to work (@100 mile round trip) to break up the bordom of the day a bit. As such I am looking for your thoughts on more of a long life tyre for the NC30 rather than a knee down scratcher.

I would love to run some sticky BT090's or Alpha 10's but I am thinking BT092s are probobly the more logical choice.

Open to suggestions or ideas

As mark said or if you have a spare 17" rear knocking about maybe some pirelli rosso 2's, wear well and sticky enough for most.

Mark - you know me, and that is of course the obvious choice.....if I were back in the UK with my spare wheels etc

My problem is that I will be picking the bike up in the UK and riding about 1000Km back down Germany, so carrying a spare (weekend) rear wheel with BT090 tyre fitted would be ermmm.....challenging. As such I need to fit something to the bike that it is going to wear for the whole season.

Mate - I wish I had a "spare" 17" rear lying around - LOL. I have the Marvic's to go on the project bike, whenever that is, and have been keeping my eyes open for any NC35 rears comming up for grabs but there hasn't been anything for ages now. I deffo want one, two would be better and possibly even three if I get to project number 3 and another track bike so I can have a set of slicks and a set of wets fitted for quick track day changes.

Got any lying around in your vast stockpile

I would agree with Cammos quote. I have a 120/70 metzeler racetec rain and it nearly had me off going into druids at Brands because it hit the fairing. Slightly worrying.. Does anyone know of a wet race tyre in 120/60??
