Re: Bikesure Insurance
Hi,
I'm from the Rep. Of Ireland am now living in the Uk as I'm going to Uni here. Is it possible to get insured with ye? Im 24 and I have 5 years ncb in Ireland on the bike with a full clean unrestricted Irish license.
My main question is would I need to register the bike here for ye to insure me as its still on Irish plates. (before anyone says anything I can stay on Irish plates as I'm a student, i still have to pay Irish road tax though lol.) I'd rather just keep it on Irish plates tbh if the answer is no!

Hi,
We could certainly try and sort something out for you! With regard to the Irish plates, we would need the bike to be registered in the UK, however we can insure the bike on a VIN or chassis number while you are doing this. Feel free to PM me your contact details and I'll see what I can do.
Cheers

Re: Bikesure Insurance
Cheers for the reply. I'd have to leave it off. As I would bring the bike home a month or two tops a year. But being an Irish citizen with Irish licence etc the Garda would make me re-register on the spot as they are very strict about it even if it's genuine. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and use my irish insurer as they're not too fussed about the bike being in the UK as we drive on the same side of the road! haha but I'm just paying a slight bit more than I'd like as we only have a choice of 2 insurance companies.Bikesure wrote:Tossi wrote:Hi,

Re: Bikesure Insurance
Just got off the phone from Barry, couldn't of been more helpful. Brilliant service and the best individual I've ever talked to from an insurance company. A credit to bikesure.
Even if you not due for renewal he's probably worth a call!

Thanks for your feedback. I've looked at your email and I've started composing a list of prices for you. I'll PM you this morning with full information.
Thanks

Re: Bikesure Insurance
Hi Barry,
I didn't get your message, I presume your still working on it so no problem or rush.
Also the quote you sent me was for the YBR125 Custom not the YBR125. This may explain the difference in price.
Thanks again
Ben

Hi, I assume you can't extend your policies to Rep of Ireland residents?
Cheers,
