Pro Bolt Kit for RVF400 - Good? Fairing reassembly Q

Post by Rrotz » Tue Dec 18, 2012 6:55 pm

Is the pro bolt kit for the RVF good? Anyone else use one to replace each fastener? How about refitting the windscreen to the nosecone? The originals look like they are one piece....

Also, I'm having issues getting the RHS mid fairing fasteners back in...as I've lost one of the clips where the screw goes in. And having troubles with the little pop pin that's above the screw type one that fastens the rad screen panel. Is there a trick to lining all the holes up and where can I get a replacement clip?

Pro-bolt are overpriced, get yourself on ebay and order some stainless bolts for a fraction of the cost

Do you all buy direct from pro-bolt or from Bike Devils in the UK?

Does anyone else make titanium fasteners available besides Pro-Bolt?

Also, where can I get some replacement clips...the ones that clip into the fairings for the fasteners to screw into?

The nut clips are still available from Honda, but the quick release clips that the two centre fairing fasteners go into are rivetted into the fairing, so they're not available as a part from Honda. However, you can get both nut clips and Dzus clips on eBay.
