General question about nc30
Hello, i was wondering if the NC30 screen brace is really needed? i have suzuka front end and i dont know why but the screen brace mirror holes and the suzuka holes dont exactly align properly... cracked the fucking windscreen while tightening the mirrors. couldnt i just mount the mirrors onto the front fairing WITHOUT the screen brace? the front end gets plenty of support from the middle screw and the lower fairings anyway... plus ive not seen any other bikes with a scree brace. my r125 didnt have it, and neither does the r6, r1, cbr 600 or any other new bikes.
just a wee question
.
cheers.

Re: General question about nc30
Personally I wouldn't risk not using it, there's a good chance of it not being strong enough at high speed. Plus, your mirrors will vibrate so much they'll be useless.
All of those newer bikes you list have been designed from the factory not to have one and mount the mirrors in a different area.

Re: General question about nc30
Yes, it is needed. Unless you want to risk the flimsy parts of the fairing by the sides of the screen flapping around until they split..... Presumably your upper fairing is supposed to be used with a different brace?

Re: General question about nc30
Perhaps the bike has been dropped at some point? The mirror support brackets bend easily and are nightmare to strighten up.
I was lucky and brought a NOS one cheap.
Tyga sell a replica alumium one, same for the clock-stay but they are not cheap items.
Cracking the screen though, must have bent it quite a bit / put some force on it to do that.
Pretend the bike is made from egg shells.
I wouldnt take it off though, most bikes mirror mounts are supported.. the earlier NC24 had the but they were part of the clock brackets.. the early 90s bikes had the across the tank style of brace like the NC30 / ZXR have.
