Re: question to everyone!
i just dont understand why every topic i make, turns out to be an argument. its YOU guys who are starting it...stop arguing against me, i dont know what you all have against me. im getting sick and tired of everyone ganging up on me, its fucking overwhelming, but obviously you guys wont know that because your not in my situation. all i asked for if anyone had a non working engine, and now im getting lectures about how its a stupid idea it is and that apparently i cant follow simple instructions.... WTF im not retarded, i dont have half a brain.. i do listen to advice, how the FUCK would yous know if i do or dont. your not me, i do things in my own fucking time, and i dont have to document everything i do or dont on the forums, just because i dont say i have fixed x,y,z doesnt mean i havent done it...

Your obviously new to Xivlias problem and posts, and looking at your profile your new to the forum too.
Its not the fact that xivlia has made mistakes undertaking jobs on his bike, its the fact that every thread goes round in circles for a 100 pages. With the end result being that he doesn't listen to anything anybody says!! So we are pondering the question, Why ask for advice in the first place??
Members have offered everything to him to get his bike sorted and fixed but nope we are still (by the sounds of it) no further along!!
We had 8 pages about whether he had a faulty fuel tap!! And i'm pretty sure the coils saga was mentioned a long time ago, back in the 80's i believe!! Not 1980's (although it does feel that long ago) but page 80!!
So all i can say James if you don't like our responses don't read the thread. And Xivlia if you know best don't ask for any advice, get a Haynes and bimble along with it without the hassle of any incorrect or misleading advice!!

Ok - simple question - have you replaced the coils ? a simple yes or no will doxivlia wrote: just because i dont say i have fixed x,y,z doesnt mean i havent done it...
And before you come back with the "they are within spec" line, take it from many who have seen this over and over and over again, just because they are within spec (what ever that may be) you can't simulate when under load and breaking down when hot - hence why new(er) plugs masked the problem for a while.
Anyway it's your bike, your money, do what you feel is best, but to blame others for having a bit of a pop at you - there is an old saying which is relevant - there is no smoke without fire.

CRM, i have bought a new CDI from geoff and like i told him, i will be testing out the CDI first, and if that deosnt fix the problem i will go ahead and buy his coils. i didnt want to spend all at once, and let some go to waste. if only one of the two are faulty.

Re: question to everyone!
ok, it wasn't really a difficult question. all i wanted was a simple yes or no.
not sure where the CDI comes into it, they either work or don't, never had one breakdown under load myself - but then i have only had i dunno 20 - 30 bikes so i could be wrong.

Re: question to everyone!
well my old CDI broke down while it was working.... explain that to me. it was working....and then it stopped.. i replaced it with a spare one i had. it worked.. and now i have the problem of bike cutting out at high temps. NEVER had that problem with my old CDI before it broke down. so its just a simple assumption, and im assuming its my current CDI. hence why i bought another one....
