Cheers - the colours are of course pearl white and Mica red ... from Tamiya the model company. The red is sprayed over grey primer

Well bad news, the decals are no longer available, I'm not surprised really but it leaves me no alternative to get a good repair done and make do with slight damage to the seat decals

A good decal shop will scan the original panel or copy the decal if its like like a lettering sticker and print out and cut to match originals.
only problem is colour matching as rolls they stock arnt always identical .
The one on Westgate can do this easy and he freely admits he is not the very best..
I get them to apply too so if any cock ups then Joe Soap doesnt have to pay again.
If your going to remove old decals scan first then cut around edges carefully and not too deep with scalpel and warm with heat gun,most have been laquered over-well the !000s were anyhow.

I've decided to put the bodywork to one side for the time being until I decide what the hell to do with it.

In the meantime I've started ordering parts including a set of Dunlop Qualifiers, Renthal chain sprocket set and bits for a full service.

The forks and shock are going to be removed and sent off to Ktech to be uprated and a full service to be done, whilst they are off I will start cleaning it up a bit.

Any advice on settings for the flatside carbs would be appreciated.

If the bike runs well now then simply keep the settings like that for now. They'll probably need to be balanced but anything after that, I'd recomend a Dyno and somebody who knows this type of carb. If it was me in London I'd go to http://www.raceengineering.info/index.html

The time has come to get the bodywork sorted on on my 3tj7.

Has anyone got a tatty Nosecone I can buy so I can take the wing mirror ends off it.

Wheeled the bike out today and started it for the first time in ages. It sounded pretty rough to be honest, probably a mixture of old fuel and a desperate need for a service. It eventually idled ok ish but looking forward to giving it a service and getting running nicely.

Two things I have noticed Is that the left forks seal is leaking badly and the steering was shockingly stiff to the point I thought the steering lock was on initially. Hopefully the bearings are ok and they just need a clean and grease.

I don't know, I haven't ridden it yet I'm ashamed to say.

Yeah saw the Maxton It was Lee Tyacks from his race bike.

To be honest the shock on the rrsp is fully adjustable so I'm hoping its pretty good.
