Seriously, get the Honda service manual from off the website if you dont' already have it.

Each chapter has a trouble shooting guide for that section with information and how to find the cause of the problem and test.

Most of the questions you asked have already been answered if you read the manual

i have a haynes manual.... and i have used it.... the starter clutch was broken so i changed it. but when the starter clutch broke, something else broke with it, hence why the electrical system is fucked up. and i dont know what it is.... thats my problem. the haynes manual isnt helping me with that thats why im asking here... ive went through the whole ignition system section on the manual and tried everything and everything is fine..... but still no spark. you guys are my last resort for help. if it not in the book, then i ask here.

How do you know something broke with it, how do you know you didn't break something whilst fixing it (more likely)?

You haven't tried everything, if you had, it'd be working

Magg i did the test you gave me and the first check is fine i am getting 12v. on the second check i am getting 12v only at some points on the chassis. even then its fluctuating. i am getting ground on some parts of the frame and none on the other parts.... here is a picture of what i mean.

also i am getting no ground on the subframe.

Sounds like earthing issues then, as i said about 50posts ago, upgrade with Rick O earth kit

As Ricky says, intermittent stuff like this is an earthing problem, as has been said repeatedly. The frame is a chunk of metal, it's not possible to have earth in one place but not others unless you just have a dodgy earth.

On a side note, your grip/bar end combo makes me want to vomit.

Earthing would also cause the jamming issues you recently had.

In addition the manual neo recomended you download isnt the haynes its the HONDA manual.

Failing that buy a clymer i think there called us version of the haynes

the grip/bar end is getting changed, my original ones where torn and ripped, so i bought this off my friend for the time being. i am planning on getting some heated grips, stupid highlands is always freezing especially wearing leather gloves.

actually my starter clutch was broken, i had already posted pics up of the starter clutch. it had broken springs and plungers. and now the new starter clutch doesnt jam

Do not use any of the aluminium parts as a chassis earth, most of them will be anodized and therefore non conducting. Use the "earthing points" that already have an OEM earth lug connected. These will be the earths that Honda is relying upon for the electrical system to function. Rear sub-frame is steel and should be a good earth point provided you are contacting clean metal.

What resistance do you measure between the -ve battery terminal and any chassis earth point?
