bike cuts out
Reading jpandflissy bike problem, I have similiar but not quite same. I have Honda nc30, been riding it a couple years. When first bought had to replace rectifier, done and then 2 years happy riding. Recently this summer I rode it up to loughborough from Devon. On the journey back on the motorway it would cut out just passed bristol on way back home. I would pull in to the hard shoulder, wait approx 1minute, then with some choke it would start, I would get 5 miles down the road and it would cut out again. I kept doing this until I finally got home. Now home the bike starts first time normally, and might get me into town, a mile or so and then cuts out. I do not get the temperature problem, that stays as normal, havn't a clue what it is, any ideas of how to fix would be appreciated

I'd check the vacuum pipe to the fuel tap and the tank breather for a start.

The only thing I can think of is a loose wire somewhere. Check the earth points in particular; it could also be fuelling rather than electrical, but I'm not sure. When it cuts out, does it died imediately & to a stop or does it go on-off-on-off-stop?

Sounds to me like a breather problem, I had the same, only way to cure it as a quickfix was to open the filler cap to release the built up pressure.
Check the breather pipe routing that its not snagged by the the tank, if this is ok, remove the non-return valve of the breather on the tank.(screwed on upper right side of tank). Suck & blow thru this and make sure you can hear it opening & closing, spray a small amount of lube into its workings.

The temperature related problem points towards fuel line or breather problems as others have pointed out. When it gets warm the hose can restrict the flow due to its increased pliability.sprocket wrote: I do not get the temperature problem, that stays as normal, havn't a clue what it is,
Replacing it all with new stuff is cheap, see how you go.

+1 with the breather hose. The poor little fella gets a pretty rough life down there in the midst of the cylinders!

Thanks everyone for good advice. Question, I bought some pipe and cut to length. When I measured the diameter of the new pipe it is slightly biiger at 4mm compared to the old one being 3mm aperture. I like to always do things identical but is it critical for a vaccum hose pipe to be precisely the same diameter as original or would 1mm bigger make no difference? Of course I will jubilee clip it tight to fit.

they originally have small clips on them!
If it doesn't leak any air it'll be ok? Is 4mm too loose?
