ive recently changed both reg and rec.... got a cbr 125 regulator and a brand new battery.

The starter motor should rotate without jamming unless faulty. The gear train and starter clutch should rotate without jamming unless faulty. Start at one end of the chain of components and check/test them. That said, IMO the clutch would be worth checking first, it is carried over from the last "jamming" starter motor.

does checking the clutch involve disassembling the entire thing? got pretty scared after seeing all the plates etc in theere

I am referring to the starter clutch there are no "plates".

oh okay, i thought you meant the normal clutch, yeah i will check the starter clutch properly AFTER it stops pissing down with rain, as i have no garage, i dont want to gut the bike in the rain.

Does bad Earthing make problems with the starter motor? maybe its got bad contact points and its not getting clear currents? if so, does anyone know where all the earthing points are?

I thought you had a grinding noise problem when the starter is running, why are you now talking about earthing issues?
