Tony, that plated subframe looks fantastic. Will have to pop up to them with a job lot of bits from my RVF once that gets re started.

I used to work at motorcycle city at the same time Phil did and met him a few times. Nice bloke but couldn't understand a word he said lol.

Zippy, yeah it has come out well although thats mostly down to the great job tim did on bead blasting it. You can tell the difference on the stuff that has and hasnt been bead blasted prior to plating, even the plater commented on it.

I'm thinking of getting a compressor and a blasting cabinet so I can prep everything first. I like the idea of doing as much of everything as possible but on the other hand free time is an alien concept to me

Your need a massive compressor, most single phase comps wont be upto the job and getting a 3 phase connection at home isnt going to happen. Ive looked into it before as ive got a fairly big compressor for spraying but its useless for blasting, i tried a bit of soda blasting with it which was ok but it was running constantly to keep up.

Bumped into phil last year at the bike show, a bit of a gentleman for sure,

As for the compressors, as tony said 3phase is the way, but your electricity company will charge about £1500 to upgrade you. You could always buy and extra tank and link them, and let it run on for longer, etc.
