Another 'spare' bike
Like quite a few chaps on here I reckon that there's enough spares in my garage to build another nc30.
I want a 'clothes horse' to wear my fairing, for whenever it goes off to get painted, to save taking me taking the main project off the bench too.
The plan is to build it to a nice standard without going too mad and try and use as many of my spares as possible.
This is how far I've got.
The old bottom yoke has been bead blasted and zinc coated (new headstock bearings and seals though).
Swingarm spindle and nuts etc bead blasted and zinc coated
Spare swingarm cleaned up quite nicely and all torqued up.
Old hub came up well too, very minimal damage to the teeth and the bearings feel fine.
The pinch bolt (blasted and zinc'd) that was for my main project until Kayla and her titanium temptation came along.
Caliper hanger, has a tiny bit of corrosion that I couldn't get rid of.
My old kick stand, I cut the mount for the rubber off, too bent and rusty to save. It will be stripped and zinc'd. The fairing mount has a tiny crack in it too, so that will get welded.
And this is how she sits at the moment.
But not for too long, I want my bench back! Lots of parts are getting zinc and anodising and I have all the front and rear suspension with wheels so hopefully she be rolling quite soon.

Cheers
No, its actually quite cheap. Makes everything look brand new and stops any rust.
Its a small firm not far from where I work, dont even know their name, I just drop in every few days

Very lucky. I wouldn't even know where to look around here for a place like that.

Got the parts back from Star anodising
Few more bits from the zinc coaters
So heres what I did today
Cleaned up the shock linkage and fitted it all
Also fitted the brake torque arm and a few other brackets
Waiting on more zinc coating and me painting the rear disc now
