Its likely to ruin your fueling unless you have it set up on a dyno

yea it will mate, best thing to do is get one from a breakers that has rash on it and cut it down, its a real easy process, but make sure to have a good handfull of main jets to play about with, dont just stick the can on, if your going for a few cheap mods then you may as well get a few other things that will help the fueling like the air filter and a +4 ignition advancer, once done, then take it to the dyno and get it set up properly, you dont want to run rich or after a time you will burn the valves out mate,, hope this helps.. keep us all posted how its going ;) ;) ;)

Can i just tag onto this thread, ive just changed my end can from standard to an ART race can. Got to admit it doesnt run as smooth lower down on the revs now. Checked my jets and they are 108s. Got a dyno run booked in a couple of weeks, how do i know what jets i might need and where do i get em from? Or do i need the dyno test first to calculate what size of jets i might need? Also what is that +4 advancer?
Chris.

Chris, i would guess the +4 advancer is an ignition advancer and it does +4 degrees? Graham France is probably the best bet for jets. If its lower down the rev range that its not running right then its more likely needles that need playing with. - i think - im crap with carbs!

Are you going to be putting up your printout from the dyno? it would be great if you could.

Cheers

Ian

Yeah will do Ian if they arnt too embarrasing and i can get someone to scan them for me as im as good with computers as i am bikes. So im guessing its best to go for the dyno first?
Chris.
