As far as I am aware and have ever seen, none of the true TTF3 or TTF1 CDI's have HRC stamped on them

They don't use CDI technology though, they use TCI.. transistorised igntiion.
It's only pedantic but there is a difference in technology

cant a programable cdi just be mapped to the same curve?? why do these things cost so much , just for the originality!? obviously the mapping would need to be know for it to be replicated too. surely its been done before? and would be cheaper no!?

For the originality yes and also mike Normans back to back tests with the nc35 hrc cdi and ignitech showed that for some reason the ignitech was down on power. If possible I would always rather the original part if it can be found

for sure mate, i get that part. just wonderd if other cdi could be mapped to match, then knocked out cheaper. seems very doable. iv you know how.

As said above.. the Ignitech doesn' seem to cope at high rpm as well as the original Honda unit.
