That's a shame but it's sometimes better to walk away than p!ss in the wind.
You might be able to sue him for the damage to property
although you probably won't get any money back there's some satisfaction in it.

Re: Pilot screws without EXUP valve on 3EN2
Just had a very positive chat with plod. I probably shouldn't say anything about that. But I've put down for compensation.
Opinion please: the disk lock has been jemmied; the officer thinks this might be why the callipers have been changed, as they could be damaged, as well as the disks. Any thoughts? Could the disks have been changed too?

Lodgically only one of the discs / calipers would be damaged
and
doesn't say much for the (ex) lock

does dibble think it was lifted (ie put in a van ) or was it ridden away
if the disc was badly damaged from jemmying the lock enough to warrant changing them how do you ride with a broken disc,
the first time you touch the brakes your over the bars or on your arse anyway
although he could have ridden it with a damaged disc and this is what fu*ked the caliper
all conjecture i know and no help to you
i have a disc lock like that and now look at it in a new light perhaps their yellow cos there made of butter

Yeah I guess. Cheers, the copper asked me and I had to say I didn't know, but I guess it does make sense.
I'm assuming there's no hope for a bent frame by the way, I'll just take it to the scrap merchants? It's about an inch off, with a big dent in the box frame on the right.
I figure I'll get rid of the RF600 I need to get through the MOT, and buy a 'shed' FZR for a few hundred.

That's not good news.
Is there a lot to do to the RF, if it's just a couple of "jobs" then it might be better to get the MOT and then sell it.
Don't know how much you need to get a bike but if you can hold off until winter bites then the bike prices come down a bit.

Just a couple of jobs... it got 4 reds and two oranges on it's MOT, and it needs a new steel plate in the clutch too. In it's defence it has done 120k, and is on it's 3rd engine!
I've done 3 of the reds, need to sort the clutch and waiting on a bit for the 4th red, then retest and sell.
There's too many choices as to what to do with the FZR, or Janet as she's properly called. I'll start a new thread I think, with pics. Would like to get the engine tested at least.
