Metric fine bolts for FZR600 engine swap.
Guys,
I am just starting my project to put an FZR600 foxeye engine in a 3TJ frame, like a few on this forum. I am using the top engine mounting plates from Fzrtim, but they need countersunk M10 metric fine bolts that no-one seems to make!
After much searching, I have found a supplier of these exact bolts and will be placing an order soon. Even better, if we club together I can get an extra 10% off!
Now the bad news, the bolts are titanium and cost £5.75 each (plus postage, which shouldn't be much cos the bolts are light... :D ). And we need 4 of them per conversion.
If anyone wants me to get them a set, drop me a pm or email and I'll get it sorted out.
Alex.

Can I have the link to your supplier as I may need some coutersunk titanium bolts to hold the Bimota's disks on.

They are different, those linked are metric (1.5) thread pitch. The one's needed for the engine mounts are metric fine (1.25) pitch.
To be honest, my supplier is a reseller of Pro Bolt (http://www.tastynuts.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) who's prices can be a little cheaper than those on the website!

alex, from your post does that mean fzrtim sold you the engine adapter plates or did he give you a template to work from.if i could buy some it would save me a shed load of time as i dont pick the motor up til monday and im not back home til tuesday.that would mean i could put the motor in on tuesday night and work out all the ancillary details while i think about the ecu.im in a hurry as i want to miss as little track time as poss,cheers-steve

Hi Steve,
Tim was making a batch of plates for those that had expressed an interest. Drop him a PM, he may have made some spares.
