morgan carbtune reading on gk76a
guys, i've just ordered the carbs o-rings from a nice guy here. now i'm thinking of buying the morgan carbtune & d.i.y! paying workshop S$80 to wash the carbs SUCKS, waste of $ & time! what i need to know now is what should the reading be on the carbtune when tunning the gk76a? i cant find any info online... in singapore, i think none will be crazy like me to tune the carbs ownself. any other useful tips will be a great help! thanks in advance. will order the morgan carbtune once the o-rings arrive!

You will get a different reading for every bike so just fit it up and then set the carbs to give equal readings.
Its dead simple to do and only involves turning the throttle valve screw to equal the valves, 5 minute job!

yes it is pretty much as simple as that.ben2306 wrote:ok, i've found very little info online. it says as long all 4 are @ the same height, level in the carbtune then its done! am i right? that easy?
A little tip with the gsxr4 is to adjust them as pairs.
There are 3 screws.
balance carbs 1 to 2
then 3 to 4
then the centre screw last to balance the left pair to right pair.
you will need the engine up to temperature and a fuel supply to the carbs to do this.
Also don't forget to block off the fuel tap vacuum.
Only thing needed to be removed from the bike to balance the carbs is the tank.

by the way, how much does a main jet in uk cost? & anybody can tell me, i know gk76a has 2 coils, is spark plug1 & 4 share a coil, 2 & 3 share the other? which is no.1 when i'm sitting on the bike? left is 1st or right 1st? cos anyway, i'm doing the carbs, i'll like to confirm on that too. remember that time, a mech changed coils for me but he seems abit unsure...
good luck to me!

1 is left as you sit on the bike.
1 and 4 and 2 and 3 is correct.
main jets are only about £5 each from memory haven't bought any for ages as i was buying in bulk.
