Are nc30 mudguard brackets side specific?

One of mine (the one on the n/s) has one of the lugs snapped off. On David Silver they are listed as left and right side. but it looks to me like you could flip the bracket over and use on either side, so not sure if it matters which one i order?

I'm also not sure if they mean left/right side when sat on the bike or when looking at it head on! :oops:

How much are they on David Silvers? Rick Oliver also sells them IIRC. Are they newish? If you get a brand new one and your old one is 'weathered' it may look a little odd. Mine look a little yellow as they're ancient.

Mine are both old and yellow..ish.
