torn/ripped seat repair

Post by jay3 »

Hello,

my seat has a small tear in it, and has started to come away from the staples in a few places underneath. the Pillion seat is not ripped but its pretty filthy.

So i was thinking about getting it re-upholstered, I have "googled", but I was just wondered if anyone has any experience/recommendations of re-cover/upholstering.

thanks in advance.

Its pretty easy, i brought some vinyl from ebay for £10 & stapled it on with my big arse stapler. as long as you start with a bigger than ness piece of material, you'll be ok, you just stretch it as you go & secure it as previously fitted. ive done 6 seats now & they all look really good.

thanks, I searched and saw the anti-slip post, but didnt read it properly just the snippets in the search...opps.

I have covered stuff before, have a bad ass electric staple gun, might give it a go, whats the worst that can happen....
