That was one of the questions that the dyno guy asked me was about the float height. Is it adjustable? Because I'm not sure it does.

I'll see if I can source some 38 pilots also. Just seems the Ram air is reeking havoc right now.

Had a look at the 35 needles and they look a lot shorter than the stock 29's. But only compared them to the dynojet needles I have out right now. The stock 29's are in the bike right now.

Not sure if this is going to help, but My NC29 was running 155 mains with the standard needles with one 0.5mm washer under them and a HRC ram air box before I destroyed the poor thing last year. I know this is a fuggin big main, but it is what is recommended in the 94 HRC setup manual and after about 20 runs on the dyno we couldn't get it any better. It is pushing our 63hp on a Dynojet dyno with TSR headers and a HRC CDI and 4 short velocity stacks. The rest of the motor is standard. I run mine at 400ft with this setup and it seems ok, although we have little or no high speed bits on the track we run. We run on 98 octane pump fuel.

Wow that big huh? I'm thinking maybe it's the difference in air here versus the U.K. ????? Don't exactly know but it's worth a try. I have some 148-156's I believe. But are you running stock pilots also?

Yep stock pilots. From my experience with this setup, and this comes from about 20 dyno runs, I would probably go down one main, to a 150 for the altitude, like you my local dyno is about sea level and I race at height. If there is a problem around the 8-10k rev range this is where the mains are taking over from the needles from my understanding.

Also turn the pilot screw out about 2 to 2.5 turns if the bike is a bit sluggish off closed throttle. This is a PITA to get right as you have to take the carbs off each time to adjust it.

I'll pm you a tip for using the Dynojet kit which I haven't tried but I believe works.

Have you got the HRC manual?
