honda parts question (non v4)
what other bikes used the same clutch master cylinder as a 98 firestorm?

Looks very similar to the older 1000rr and SP1/SP2 master cylinders.

I reckon it would be similar to an rvf m/c - same calipers.

He's asking about the clutch m/c not the brake.Cammo wrote:I reckon it would be similar to an rvf m/c - same calipers.

Re: honda parts question (non v4)
Is it a 1/2" master cylinder? Probably same as VFR800 then.

Re: honda parts question (non v4)
from memory I think most of them are the same size piston diameter (13mm?) (apart from the fluid container that changes design) on pretty much most of the 90's Honda bikes...

Re: honda parts question (non v4)
thanx guys, most of the honda m/c's have the box type reservoir. the 98 firestorm had a remote res - the sp1 used the same set up but its silly money to buy sp1 parts (purely because they came off an sp1).
i bought a "complete" firestorm m/c assy but the knob i bought it from took off the res and the wee plastic connecter and i cannot get the parts to replace them anywere unless i buy an overpriced sp1 "complete" assy

Just a thought - could it be the same connector as used in a nissin brake master?mo haggs wrote:thanx guys, most of the honda m/c's have the box type reservoir. the 98 firestorm had a remote res - the sp1 used the same set up but its silly money to buy sp1 parts (purely because they came off an sp1).
