Your be mad to break that rvf engine, it's near on mint and low millage from what I remember.

I'm still undecided, I might just clean it and give it a once over, then see about fitting it. I'm after a set of RVF cams though, I want to fit them to give the bike a bit more poke, along with the NC24 slides (just got to rubber grease them before fitting, bargain at £15) and Ignitech. I'll try and fit that at Ricks, see how it performs on the way home

Dunno if you can, I'll ask Graeme and see what he can hook me up with if there's anything about. I'm hoping that there's something, remove the limp mode when I remove the speedo, and give the best possible ignition map

I'll be leaving to collect the Ignitech in about 7 hours Very excited, I'll probably fit it and the UK speedo when I get home, I'll report back with how much different it feels

I decided to sort out my speedo out, a little while ago I bought a set of UK MPH clocks with a really scrappy casing (the usual place)

I have what I suspect is an RC30 casing, so swapped them over, a small change, but they look 10 times better IMO






The reason I suspect the replacement of being an RC30 part is that the 'OIL' and 'TURN' idiot lights are switched, and a little bit of ebay/google research shows this to be the RC setup

UK spec NC has the oil light above neutral?! And the solid blue high beam.

2 of the VFR's, the UK clocks and my CBR have Oil above neutral :S it's literally only the new surround that's got Turn above Neutral.

The Ignitech is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!! Fitted it and had a quick go, revs and pulls harder, and I don't get quite so many afterfires when I back off the throttle. Big to Rick O, what a great chap, was great meeting him, and he spent loads of time talking me through things, and generally enlightening me to the world of RC30's :D I'll definately be back again if he'll let me

my surround is damaged in the exact same place and the same sort of damage!!! what does this then??

Don't know how to explain it then Ibby, maybe it was something that changed between the years or something?

lizard, not sure exactly, but it's the clutch cable adjuster ring catching it that does it I think, probably where people tilt the lever too high so it then catches on right lock

dont know how people can ride with it that high anyway?
