Re: cb1 stainless steel exhaust
Perhaphs you misunderstood my posts.
I am NOT looking for a really loud pipe.
I am looking for one who can replace my current pipe because the baffles have been removed and I was afraid this might damage the engine.
Regarding noise, I plan to gain some experience around the city b4 going for some ear mufflers for longer rides at least.

I don't think I misunderstood at all. I meant to to reassure you that having no baffles won't damage your engine:

Perhaps you misunderstood me?Removing the baffles or packing won't damage the engine in the least.

Please allow me to remind you that you started out by saying that loud pipes damage hearing, I was merely pointing out that I wasn't looking for a loud pipe.alexibrow wrote:I don't think I misunderstood at all. I meant to to reassure you that having no baffles won't damage your engine:

Alright then, you may remind me!Please allow me to remind you that you started out by saying that loud pipes damage hearing
I was using an English turn of phrase to illustrate that the loud exhaust won't damage your engine. You've totally got the wrong end of the stick! I could just as easily have written:
A loud exhaust might frighten small wildlife, but it won't damage your engine.
That doesn't mean that I think you shouldn't ride your bike in case you startle a squirrel.

Yeah well... The police recently decided to enforce a law in my country that prohibits anything producing over 40 Db from roaming the streets during night time.meno wrote:on another note.. my moriwaki zero exhaust at 70 sounds like my old gixer 750 did at 150 .. sweeeeeeettttttt
And I can guarantee mine does. I hope they don't really stop and "ask" me about it.
