I always keep in mind that no matter how fast i am riding, there is always someone that will be able to go faster on the same bike: so i't is very unlikely that you will outride the bike; if that makes sense?
And just remember - look as far ahead as you can at all times
and just enjoy it, you will be fine once you've got rolling, it's really no different to a fast road ride (just without the cops and other traffic
