NC24 Shock info please
Apologies if this has been posted before, Ive done a search but cant find the answers I need, basically the bike is on its original showa shock, I cant afford a new hagon as a replacement so have 3 options I reckon
1, Get the original refurbished
2, Fit an alternative but not sure which one, R6, RS250 or RGV 250 for instance but are there other alternatives ?
3, Find a cheap alternative to a Hagon, although tbh I cant find one
the bike hasnt cost me much so far so maybe I should just splash out on a Hagon

Re: NC24 Shock info please
Whats wrong with the original shock? is it broken or leaking?
The RS250 will be easiest but you will need to get it re-spring to a heavier spring.

Its the original shock Neo so just assumed it would be goosed because of its age, saying that I quite like the idea of keeping the bike as original as poss so may just get a new spring and get the shock refurbished, had a result on ebay lasy night when I bought a collector box for £30 on a buy it now, well pleased with that

That's very cheap, even knackered ones fetch well over 150.00 on auction.
Have you ridden it? It might well be fine, unless its covered lots of miles or been abused there might not be anything wrong with it.

Not yet mate, the tank needs a good cleaning out right now and thats the next job once I get a minute away from work and yeah the collector is mega cheap but I figured its worth a go considering I saw one on Ebay last @£155 and still going up, only drawback is its in Clacton so a bit of a hike but the mrs booked us a b&b and were off to collect it the weekend after next.

Re: NC24 Shock info please
I thought the NC21 and NC24 shared the same engine ? Is it a big problem to get a link pipe then ?

Re: NC24 Shock info please
similar engine and a different exhaust collector the nc24 rubs a high level exhaust and the nc21 runs a low level the colectors are different.
