ah cool, I'm staying at another forum members house overnight so I don't have to ride for over 2 hours on my own just to box hill

it is a quality nose-cone but you dont really wan to get that wet, its not in primer, its just bare gel coat. & if it gets wet, then dry & so on, it goes all powdery & shitty.

I'm fairly new to fibreglass parts, I take it a gel coat is nice and smooth like paint? This is matte white, and rough to the touch, just like primer, but I have some spare that I can just whack on to keep it in decent condition ready for paint :)
I'll grabe pics of it in the morngin when it's properly fitted with the lowers :)

Re: Billing's Bikes
Yes, mate - the gel coat is a hardened finish for the fibreglass, you see some in semi gloss, black, white, red or what-ever colour they put in it & that can be used as is but the matt finish is usually pourous (if thats how you spell it) but yeah, a lick of something is always a good way to go - i did sooooo much fibreglass when i used to run a bodyshop for BMW & VW, all the boy racers used to bring in the massive kits for their shit boxes.
Ideally, just scotch the nose off, nothing heavy & get a couple of coats of primer on there & if you can, a miss coat of something else to protect it.

will do mate, I'll get it roughed up and all my dirty finger prints off and then will get it sprayed up as and when it's conveinent
Going to email Rick tonight for suggestions on fuelling setups for the NC24 slides and his own needles, as that's pretty much all I'm going to be able to afford this month

Re: Billing's Bikes
Been looking at this nose cone trying to work out how the dark blue stripe is going to look on it, what about the light recess? for some reason im thinking that would look good in black maybe???? maybe someone with some photoshop skills can do a mock up

Re: Billing's Bikes
I did this a while ago, shit, but it was very quick to give myself an idea of what I wanted :)

I'll try and get a pic of the bike in one piece tomorrow if someone would be willing to do a proper PS of it with the recess in both black and white :)

Re: Billing's Bikes
That doesnt look as odd as i thought it would, what about a black number board on the other side although that really would mess up the blue stripe. Come on photoshop bods get busy!!
