Re: VFR400 rebuild
Don't think so, ones 51410-MR8-781 and the other is 51410-MR8-003.
Now, whether you can still interchange them, I don't know, but I doubt it due to the different part number.

Hmm, you're in quite a pickle here mate. Have you been in touch with Geoff on here? He breaks bikes all the time. You might be lucky.

Re: VFR400 rebuild
ok, i got the forks back off the fella up the rd, he managed to separate them...now....
the stanchion is OK but theres a few chips/scratches etc and some light pitting to it...iv given it a soft going over with 1500 paper wet. feels smooth, no sharp bits to snag new seals, can i use it or should i source another!?
a few big holes almost down near the bottom half of it , maybe 0.5 deep . i can get pics up if needed. whats the thoughts or proticall on this sort of thing, what can you get away with in other words..... to me, it feels and looks useable, the bloke said the same up the rd but i wanna check with you lads too before using/wasting new seals , bushes etc.
oh, the old bushes teflon was gone!! lol was all backed up against the lower bush so the upper one wouldnt slide over it. that was the problem.
cheers guys, ill get some pics up too. shortly.
