RVF Carbs on an NC30
For those people who have done this modification - what have you done about the choke?
Did you use the NC30 choke lever and cable or did you replace it with the RVF one?
If you replaced it with the RVF one - how and where did you mount it? (as its a shorter cable with a push/pull circular bit that is normally up on the bars!- the NC30 one is connected to the lever down in the infill panel)
Cheers for any help!

Cant help you there mate, i always bin the choke cables and put a tie wrap around the choke mechanisum which sticks out just above the frame. Every choke cable ive had plays up in one way or another, hate em.
Can you not just get a choke mount for a 35 and fix that to the 30 frame?

Genius idea, im going to do that as my nc30 choke is a little dodgy, even after replaceing with a newer one.Drunkn Munky wrote:Cant help you there mate, i always bin the choke cables and put a tie wrap around the choke mechanisum which sticks out just above the frame. Re: RVF Carbs on an NC30
You have to stand there and hold the choke for 30 secs when its cold but i just do that then crank the idle speed up a little a leave it to warm up.
The choke on 35 carbs has got a locking mechanisum on it so you just pull it out and leave it, to release it just give it another tug.

Re: RVF Carbs on an NC30
Thanks for the replies - I'm glad that the vfr one fits, as it'll look better overall, and doesn't require me to make or modify any brackets!
Cheers guys!
