Re: The Exhaust Thread
Yoshimura Cyclone carbon fibre, don't know if it was welded on or not or it's full or whatever, I'm new to RVF, I know nothing
(therefore don't know what it sounds like to stock) The fairings are also a cut jobby...I'll be looking for R fairings if I'm ever loaded since they seem like T code fairings

Unfortunately not Cam, it's TSR pipework. Cheers for the offer though.Cammo wrote:Is it a 3-bolt muffler on stock rvf pipework?ludacris wrote:...i would struggle to borrow a stock one where I am..

A roll of chicken wire stuffed up the pipe might work. It did for one of my previous cars until it shot out and nearly took out the bloke testing it, lol!

It's an aftermarket muffler bolted on to the standard exhaust system.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
I would like a little advice off you guys if you can help,
I have just purchased a TSR half system fitted with a Harpoon end can, does anyone have any experience with the Harpoon cans and what are the legalities these days when it comes to end cans?

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Never heard of harpoon cans. AFAIK aslong is the can isnt stamped not for road use or something along them lines then its legal, thats aslong as it doesnt sound like a mig 29 on a low level fly over! baffle holes are a give away too, if you havent one fitted but theres a hole for one expect a talking too.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
I can't see any signs of "not for road use" and there is 2 holes that accepted a baffle at some point. I am on a Bike safe course next month with Birmingham police and will probably just have to refit the original system as the Harpoon is kicking out 102db at 8k rpm

Re: The Exhaust Thread
102 at 8k revs is quiet..
I had one that made 106 at 7k..it was full sized too.
Don't worry about it. If anything, they'll have a word after the course and you can tell them that they need to hear the V4 and it was all for their benefit!

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Shouldn't the exhaust have the old BSAU (E) approval on it though?
I might have to stick the original back on what do you think?
Or will I get away with a removable baffle shoved down it's throat?
