Planned trip to the ring May21/22/23/24

Post by Graham »

A group of us have decided for another long weekend to the nurburgring this year and throwing it open to everybody thats interested. Going by the opening times the best weekend before it gets too busy will be the weekend of the 21st of May.

Rough plan is to ride over on the saturday few drinks in the evening/ sunday spend at the track/ monday ride into the mountains along some of the superb roads and sights of the areas/ tuesday head home via a scenic route.

Planned accomodation is b and b, rough plan is enjoy the days and kick back at night with food and a bevvy of your choice.

Anyone here fancy a nice way to start the summer?

this is something i would love to do. not sure if it can happen yet with my job situation but i was woundering, what bikes will be taken on this trip have you done it many times before? it would be good to go with quite a few people, i havent ever been to the ring but have wanted to for a while,

some more detail on the plans you have made would be pritty cool, ferry prices places to see along the way ect, :D
cheers,

Bill.

i would be very keen, but again depends in my job situation.
going to be watching this very carefully, is there going to be a group meeting point before the ferry etc to get the group together?

also a very generalised estimate of the costs would be very helpful

Im doing this trip on my own in April 16/17/18/19/20, but travelling down the length of Belgium away from any motorways to Bastogne, then to the ring via Luxemburg. If any of you guys are into your WW2 stuff then Bastogne could be worth including

meeting point would be at the terinal for the eurotunnel or on route there from whatever your chosen start point.

Theres a small group definately heading over this weekend on a range of machines, 2x nc30s 1x zx10r 1x daytona 675 1x thundercat and one vfr800. Just been trying to raise interest. A big group of us went a few years ago and had a good run. However what with the rings opening times and a few peoples trips this year it will be a bit tight fitting this in any other weekend.
