Re: The Exhaust Thread
hey what's the best and cheapest way to get a TSR system under 94dB? need to get RWC soon (MOT) and no doubt the system is over 100dB and I dont want to fork out the stupid prices they charge here for the stock system on something I'd only need for an hour or two..

Re: The Exhaust Thread
unfortunately removable baffles will fail you so it would have to be welded in which is out of the question lol, so it needs to be something that's hidden...i would struggle to borrow a stock one where I am..

Re: The Exhaust Thread
Are removable baffles not an option in OZ then?
If you really must have something thats hidden just for the MOT then take the can off and stuff something up the inlet side and make sure it wont come out, piece of tin with a few holes in might work. Ive seen people shove coke cans in the their pipes at trackdays to get through noise testing.

Re: The Exhaust Thread
from what I remember last time I looked into baffles they were illegal if they are removable...essentially it's seen as you will remove it as soon as the test is completed so it's either no baffle or permanently affixed...no moddle area
read that steel wool is an option through the intake side but kinda concerned about creating back pressure if there's not enough holes for the air to pass through and don't want to fudge things up..
would something like this work through the inlet side?: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/stainless-race-b ... 45f8776a55
