fzr400rrsp forks stupid question of the week
hi all not posted for ages as my old pc died and had to save for another.hope youve all kept it sunnyside up through the shit weather,i managed to lob my fazer up the road in the snow but no real damage(only to my back picking the bastard up its a bit heavier than my 3tj!!)anyway a real daft one so here goes.ive just rebuilt a set of 3tj sp forks for the hybrid, rechromed stanchions, new slider bushes, new 0.9 springs and being in a bit of a hurry as usual obviously wasnt paying enough attention somewhere as i now have 17 clicks of adjustment on the rebound damping-is this right i dont seem to remember there being that many clicks of adjustment, can anybody put me right or have i dropped a bollock ? luckily i havnt refilled them with oil yet so easy to tear down again if needed-cheers-steve

I think your right - seem to remember somebody having less, but there's a setting within the fork that lets you have full amount.

Under the fork top is a lock nut which secures the the damper rod in place. Loosen this and turn the damper rod to expand or decrease the adjustment range. Doesn't actually do anything other than change the amount of clicks so as long as each fork has a similar amount don't worry. Just don't wind the clicking adjuster fully in as this simply blanks off the damping

thanks guys, ive obviously not put the two locknuts under the fork caps back in the same position but as ive got the same amount of clicks on each leg i think ill leave it alone-again many thanks
