HRC Wire Loom for RVF400R (NC-35)
The source for HRC Wire Looms has dried up. I vaguely recall someone was making copies some time back. Does anyone know of a source for either original HRC looms or someone that can make me a copy?
Thank you

Mike, I have a feeling that you may still be able to buy them new through a dealer, but could be quite a wait from the time of ordering. I sold one a while back for next to nothing...
I think it's just as easy to just strip what you don't need out of the original road loom and rewrap it.

Thanks for the reply Cammo -
They have been discontinued. I have tried all my sources and they come up empty. I need 2 harnesses right now and the originals are worn, tattered, corroded and have failing wires. So, I am probably going to make them myself. I was just hoping to avoid it. I would rather spend what little time I have on other things.
If anyone has or makes them, please let me know.

Shame you're in Uncle Sam g-force. I was going to say, drop the loom off to me and I'll modify it. But postage would make the cost prohibitive and the timescale wouldn't be keen.
BTW, I notice you are in Santa Clara. Do you follow the Vanguard at all?

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Well, I have the HRC TT manual for the VFR and there is a wiring diagram in there. I can't imagine the NC35 being much different. I could modify one for you.
You would have to send it USPS which wouldn't be so bad on shipping, but it takes about a week each way.

OK I have stripped the electrical tape from the existing HRC harness and - to my surprise - it doesn't look so bad underneath. I will only have to replace the few wires that are corroded and the connectors that have seen better days. Not so bad.
Since the harness is apart and there are no wiring diagrams for it available, I am going to draw up my own wiring diagram, along with lengths, so anyone can make their own. Is that something that is of interest to people here? (this question probably deserves a big DUH!)
I hope to have the diagram done this weekend (pending the free software works) and will post it it soon after.
Cheers,

Great Mike!
How's it going for you guys anyway? haven't seen an update on the G-Force site for a loooong time, and the pages in MotoTech left me wanting to know more about your progress over there!
On another note; are there by chance any more of those RVF/600RR triple clamps sets available? Time has come to have the front end fully sorted on my project bike
Cheers/
Lasse

Here's a Wiring Diagram of the HRC Wire Loom on our bikes.

e-mail me for a hard copy if this doesn't come out clearly enough.
