The internal parts are possibly interchangeable, but unlike the VFR, the speedo casing on the RVF is not detacheable from the tacho & temp guages. So it's not a unbolt/bolt job, but it's not too difficult either!
Q: Why do you need to change it?

What do you want to change?

Just the speedo? This can be done by swapping internals between the models.

The speedo housing? Can't be swapped, the rvf uses a single piece housing, the vfr is 2 piece.

The whole instrument cluster? Not a direct bolt on swap between the 2 models but could probably be dodged up by modifying mounts and swapping all the internals over. PITA job for no gain if you ask me, they look very similar....

The tacho? Not compatible between the 2 models at all.

ahh i see.
well i like the look of the vfr speedo as a whole better, it looks more modern and updated and looks like they put some effort into it. but the rvf speedo to me is just dull plain and has nothing exciting on it which is why i wanted to do the swap.

i was just curious to see if it was just a simple job, but for all the effort i dont think is worth the gain, maybe one day..

one more question, does anyone know any speedos that bolt onto the rvf?
