hmm I guess all that is needed is a bracket like the one you've made up, to suspend the brake line above the chain. Got any pics from side-on?

not got any pics that I can find right now.

It is just a flat piece of alloy and a ruber grommet...simple.

I had to get braided lines for racing, that was a pre-race shot..

in fact, you can see it in this gratuitous shot of the winning moto...

Can anyone explain what the point of a rear hugger is, though? Does it serve any purpose other than to look good?
Keeps the rear shock/swingarm/ back end clean.

Or what about using some cable clips to fix the brakeline along the swing arm like the ones that elecricians use. Do a search for cable cleats or cable management on screwfix.com. That way you don't need a chain guard.
How hard can it be?

An email response from Paul at Tyga Performance:
On the chainguard, we will have a carbon one in production next week. We
have one on the upcoming project NC30. Basically, it is adapted from the R1
type which conveniently has a groove in the top to run the brake line. We
have strengthened the part and moved the leg to suit the pro arm mounting
points. Coming very soon...
