haha, do me a favour alex, do swinton recognise BIKESAFE? North Wales police said some insurers give discounts on riders that have attended there courses and passed.
I have bikesafe tank protector on my bike lol (i intend to go on a course as soon as i have been riding again for a few months again :) )

Mines 112.50 for 3 bikes fully comp on classic policy.

Insurance Types.

Third Party Only: If you are at fault in an accident the insurance company will only pay for repair of the other peoples vehicle. However, if they are at fault you can still claim repair costs off them.

Third Party Fire / Theft: Same as above but if your vehicle sets fire or is stolen the insurance company will pay for it.

Fully Comp: Even if you are at fault in an accident or somethign else happens to the car (vandals etc) you can usually claim repairs from your insurer.

Just phoned them again to clarify things

1. The joining of a club is nothing to do with the condition of the bike, they just say club members are safer riders

2. The 3000 miles is deemed adequate for a young rider to get to any place of work all year around.

Okay lets work that out, I used to ride 6 miles to work and then 6 miles back when i worked at the nearest work place to where i live. So thats 12 a day, 60 a week.

60 x 52 is 3120 which is over the limit and invalidates your insurance.

That does not include weekend personal riding or going to swimming or cinema on evenings if i ever want to.

I dont think i will ever give footman james my service if that is how they treat young riders

It isn't just them, it's ALL insurance companies, they'll just tell you why.

Which is why insurance comes down after your 25, 30 and 40...

I can see where your all going wrong here lads, when you speak to them you need to quote "I'm a lady do t you know, I want lady's Insurance"

Last year my misses had 2 years riding xperience and 3 points on her license. She insured an nc30 for £90 Fully comp with me as a named driver. My Insurance also went down when I added her to my insurance, it a crazy world Insurance companys seem to love women

If you know any females with a licence add them and I bet your Insurance goes down.
