Your not using standard brake hoses are you Rick?
The banjos on the std hoses tighten up against these, just keeps them in the right place, if you have braided (nobody should really still be using the origianl 20 year old rubber lines now anyway) there not always of much use as the banjo shapes differ!
i only have one set tho marcus,
and you can also buy them off me at ebay if you want added security
