i have a 600 foxeye 1995 engine fitted in my 400 rr 3tj. a friend off mine / the prev owner did the convertion. Its quite a job, oil cooler removed and blanked off. hand made bespoke pipes and other modificatoins to make it fit. plus 600 cdi, wiring loom, clocks ,carbs. dyno print out now shows 85bhp 165mph helped by dyno jetting stage 1 and race can and free flow filters.
if this is the sort of job you are considering , i am still friends with former owner of bike so can get all the tech details , bracket mods etc. oil cooler was removed due to lack of space, but does not effect the bikes performance, the bike is wearing the original 400 plastics. some 600 conversions dont enable the original plastics to fit back on.
incidently i have just advertised the bike for sale as i fancy something more compfy for touring. it is in this months edition of motor cycle monthly
